Hon. Engr. Akarachi Etinosa Tosan Amadi, Member representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has been honoured with the prestigious 2025 Legislator of the Year Award by Champion Newspapers Limited.
The award was presented during the 2025 Champion Newspapers Annual Awards Ceremony, held on Saturday at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, where distinguished individuals and institutions were recognized for their contributions to national development.
Hon. Amadi has continued to emerge as one of the rising figures in Nigerian politics. Known for his energetic leadership style and strong grassroots connection, he has built a reputation for combining effective legislative work with impactful constituency programs.
According to the organizers, the recognition was in appreciation of his remarkable legislative performance and people-centered leadership since assuming office.
Observers within the political space have also pointed to his role as Chairman of the House Committee on Oceans and Fisheries, noting that his work in the committee and on the floor of the House has further strengthened his profile as a focused and effective legislator.
