In a remarkable show of commitment to education, technology advancement, and community development, the Honourable Member representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency, Hon. Engr. Akarachi Etinosa Amadi, on Sunday attended the 6th Synod of the Diocese of Ikeduru, Anglican Communion, where he made generous donations amounting to ₦15 million.
The event, held at the Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru, brought together clergy, government officials, and community leaders in a gathering aimed at fostering faith-based development and dialogue.
During the Synod, Hon. Engr. Akarachi Amadi announced a donation of ₦10 million towards the ICT project of the College of Education established by the Diocese. The project is aimed at equipping students with digital literacy and technical skills needed to excel in modern education, particularly in Computer-Based Testing (CBT) and other technology-driven examinations.
He further donated ₦5 million towards the ongoing building project of the church, reaffirming his dedication to strengthening both the spiritual and infrastructural foundations of the community.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Amadi emphasized the vital role of education and technology in empowering young people, noting that “the true legacy of leadership lies not only in governance, but in how much we invest in the people’s capacity to build, learn, and grow.”
The lawmaker also commended the Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Maduwike, and the entire Anglican community for their steadfast commitment to faith, moral development, and social progress in Ikeduru and beyond.
The event was marked by heartfelt appreciation from the clergy and congregation, who described Hon. Amadi’s gesture as timely, visionary, and deeply impactful.
