In a remarkable effort to improve the health and well-being of the people of Mbaitoli and Ikeduru, Hon. Engr. Akarachi Amadi, House Member representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency, has launched a 5-day medical outreach program aimed at providing free and accessible healthcare services to constituents.

The outreach, which kicked off on January 6th, 2025, at the Ikeduru LGA Headquarters in Iho, has brought together a dedicated team of medical professionals, including optometrists, lab scientists, and general healthcare practitioners. Day One saw hundreds of constituents benefiting from services such as eye examinations, malaria and sugar level testing, vital health checks, and the prescription of essential medications.

On Day Two, the outreach continued at the Mbaitoli Development Centre, Orie Mbieri, where even more residents turned out to access these life-changing services. The program has been praised for its inclusiveness and impact, addressing critical healthcare needs for individuals who might otherwise struggle to access such services.

Speaking about the initiative, Hon. Akarachi Amadi emphasized the importance of healthcare as a cornerstone of community development. “This outreach is part of my commitment to ensuring that every constituent has access to quality healthcare. A healthy community is a strong community, and I am dedicated to making that a reality for Mbaitoli and Ikeduru,” he said.

The program will continue over the next three days, with medical teams visiting different locations to reach even more constituents. This initiative underscores Hon. Akarachi Amadi’s dedication to addressing the health challenges faced by his constituency and fostering a stronger, healthier community.
