On January 24, 2024, Hon. Engr Akarachi Etinosa Amadi, the Federal House of Representatives member representing Mbaitoli and Ikeduru Federal Constituency, conducted a Legislative Agenda/Constituency Briefing in MBAIKE. The purpose of this gathering was to share his plans and set the direction for his representation, service, and fellowship with the people over the next four years in the Green Chambers.
Hon. Akarachi Amadi expressed gratitude to God, Governor Hope Uzodimma, campaign teams, and support groups for their contributions to his historic victory. He emphasized that elections and legal processes were concluded, urging leaders and constituents, regardless of political affiliations, to unite for the collective good.
The representative distributed palliatives to the people and outlined his legislative agenda, focusing on effective representation and impactful projects. Bills and motions presented during his tenure were highlighted, including upcoming proposals. Plans for constituency offices, liaison offices, and regular briefings were detailed to ensure an open-door policy and accountability.
A critical infrastructure review was announced to address the decay in Ikeduru/Mbaitoli. Projects such as the “Light Up Ikeduru/Mbaitoli,” erosion control, water accessibility, community halls, and rural roads were unveiled based on preliminary reports.
In the education sector, a state of emergency was declared, aiming to revitalize facilities and engage various agencies for support. The EDUSUPPORT PROGRAMME, including scholarship programs and support for WAEC and JAMB fees, was reiterated.
The Ikeduru/Mbaitoli ICT Project was introduced to promote computer literacy, with plans to produce over a thousand ICT professionals in the constituency within four years.
Empowerment programs focused on creating sustainable businesses rather than mere financial aid. Engagements with government agencies such as SMEDAN, NDE, and NPC were initiated to facilitate job creation and support the Ikeduru/Mbaitoli First Agenda.
