Like a general saying goes, “every beginning has an ending”. The journey of grace that took us all through the various 63 autonomous communities of Mbaitoli and Ikeduru took a glorious end yesterday, 8th January, 2023.

It was on the 1st of December, 2022 that the campaign parliament of Engr Akarachi Amadi took off to embark on a different kind of campaign, which has never been seen before within our clime.

Undoubtedly, usually before this time, what politicians are used to is going about their campaigns at the ward level..,…where people assemble in a center within the ward and words and campaign materials are shared with a few dance and and some level of jamboree.

Nothing more than a hullabaloo

Engr Amadi thought it strongly wise that the ward is almost an empty space, so he decided to do his campaign in the autonomous communities, where the Ezes call the shots and the Presidents General actively govern their people.

For us in team Akarach, it becames imperative that we speak to the people directly.

This kind of campaign availed us the opportunity to have a direct interface with the grassroots and had a first hand information about their felt-needs, a kind of needs assessment.

The campaign which took over a month of ours, finally came to an end yesterday in a ground style at Eziama Ikeduru, the very home town/community of the most revered Engr. Akarachi.

It was a campaign turned carnival as women trooped out in their beautiful and organized colours. I mean different uniforms to add glamour to the event.

Different dance groups with a live band from Jubilee Entertainment to keep the crowd cheered.

Speaking to the already geared and cheering crowd, Engr. Akarachi passionately reminded them on things he has done as an individual without government powers and went ahead to make vows to them and I quote…

“The House of Representatives elections come February 25th, is about our collective future, the old ways of playing politics have failed us and we can’t afford to continue doing the old things the same old way and expect new and positive results”.

“I am on a mission to rescue our people from the shackles of under-development, under-representation and selfish-representation.
I will recover the wasted years and put Mbaike on the right track, by the special grace of God”.

“I am a candidate for the youths, the fathers and the mothers.
Give me the responsibility to protect you and our future, politics is about giving to the people what belongs to them and Akarachi will always buy what he was sent to the market to purchase and even more”.

“Since 1999 till date, no candidate has embarked on community based campaigns and there is no candidate that has checked on the welfare of their people like me, I’m not doing them for political reasons, but for humanity sake.
I will indigenize my projects to suit the perculiar interest of each community”.

“If you vote me in and I disappoint you, don’t vote for me again whenever I come for your support but I know I won’t disappoint our people.
The next four years in Mbaike will be; Work, Work, Work; Project, project project; Empowerment, Empowerment, Empowerment!!”.

He went on, “If you will forget all I have said here today, please don’t forget that I am a candidate with conscience. Whatever I have said, I have done. And whatever I say, I shall do.”

The youthful politician also went ahead to reel out his achievements and interventions to the people of Mbaike which include but not limited to;

Purchase of over 600 hundred JAMB/UMTE forms for Mbaike students and offered those who scored 200 and above scholarships to universities of their choice.

Attracted, constructed and still constructing over 11 kilometers of roads across Mbaike.

Intervention to the health center in Mbieri.

Building of houses for some Mbaike indigent widows.

Initial 1.5million Naira donation for the building of a health center in Ikeduru

Numerous interventions for repairs of transformers

Donations of brand new transformers

Facilitating the oversee travels of some Mbaike young footballers and other projects and interventions too numerous to mention.

On the spot, two communities in Mbaike received cheques of 8million Naira each for the purchase and installation of brand new transformers from their 2023 incoming Rep member, Engr Akarachi Amadi.

Nevertheless , Students that received the academic scholarships of Engr Amadi, from Eziama were not left out as they took turns to pour accolades on Engr Amadi, praying God to grant him all his good heart desires especially that of Representing ndi Mbaike in the green chambers, Abuja.

The occasion was well attended by government functionaries, Community leaders , Clergies and Royal Fathers and many other notable leaders too numerous to mention.

To God be all the glory.
