The candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, for the forthcoming Mbaitoli and Ikeduru Federal House of Representatives election, Engr. Akarachi Amadi, has dismissed critics who claim he is too young to represent the people at the National Assembly.

Amadi was speaking to the people of Isi Orodo in Mbaitoli Local Government Area yesterday.

Amadi stated that he was like the biblical David, who was underated by even Samuel who was sent by God to anoint a king for Isreal after Saul lost favour with God.

“They say I am a small boy,” Akarachi Amadi stated. “But they forget that when God sent Samuel to anoint a king in Israel, Samuel was looking for those big men with Agbada, those old men with okpu red but God led him to anoint that small boy David. I am the David of MBAIKE.”

Akarachi pointed out that despite being the youngest of all those contesting for the seat, his record of achievements and good works for the people of MBAIKE could not be matched by those who have been in office and claim they are older and more experienced in politics than him.

Akarachi despite not holding any political office, has been able to attract roads from the Federal Government to the people of MBAIKE.

Akarachi Amadi also purchased JAMB forms for secondary school leavers across MBAIKE, and placed those who passed the examination in his educational scholarship scheme.

His humanitarian and empowerment programmes across MBAIKE includes the building of homes for the destitute and widows, provision of palliatives to help ease the plight of the people, his ₦25million yearly football tournament for MBAIKE, as well as empowering of the youths in skills and craft.

Villagers from all works of life and political inclinations, who spoke to us were full of praises for the young engineer.

“Now we have hope that our roads will be fixed,” one of the people our correspondent spoke to stated. “We have a Federal Representative from Orodo yet look at our roads. We have no roads in Orodo. We have been seeing the good works of this man called Akarachi Amadi and we are confident that he will wipe away our tears if we send him to Abuja.”

Another villager who spoke to us stated, “Akarachi is doing even without being in office. What do you expect when he gets there? He will do more. Since 1999 we have been trying old men who have been playing old politics. This time around we want to try young men with new ideas. I am a member of PDP but I will not be party of voting for anybody who will serve as the retirement package of any politician. I will stand for somebody who is already doing and has given me confidence that sending him there won’t be as disappointing as we have had it so far. I stand with Akarachi MBAIKE.”

ImoNEXT observed that people of Orodo, the hometown of the current MBAIKE House of Representatives member, came out from their houses and shops to cheer and wave as Akarachi Amadi’s campaign train rolled by.

Still yesterday, Akarachi Amadi visited Idume and Umunneato Autonomous Communities as his tour of communities across MBAIKE continues.
