-Donates to the patients, staff and Hospital.
The APC Frontline Candidate for Mbaitoli & Ikeduru Federal house of Representatives elections, come February 2023, made an unscheduled visit to the General hospital in Mbieri, to interact with the patients, staff and as well inspect the level of infrastructure and services rendered in the hospital.
The youthful Engineer visited the hospital as part of the activities line up to celebrate his birthday and made donations to patients, staff and well the hospital.
According to him; “I am here today to see the patients in this hospital to see how I can support to offset their medical bills and well see how I can support the hospital in the area they need support.
I am not doing this as a politician or to score any political point, but doing it as a humanist, it has been a yearly ritual for me to visit hospitals and motherless homes especially on my birthdays to see how I can support them.
Many politicians have advised me to stop helping people and rather save my money to buy votes, but I’ve always maintained that I’ve not come to play that type of wicked politics.
It gives me joy to help people in need and this is beyond politics, if the politics is not about helping and using our position to solve people’s problems, then I wouldn’t want to be a politician.” He concluded
He asked the administrative head of the General hospital about the needs of the hospital, which she responded as; Lack of electricity, spoilt generator, bushy hospital environment, inadequate drugs, demaged fence. Amongst others.
Reacting, the incoming Rep member, quickly made a donation for the purchase of drugs, mobilized for the clearing of the bushy environment, fixing of the demaged fence, their damaged generator and as well purchase of 500 liters of fuel for their generator.
He promised to track and recover the transformer of the hospital that was taken away by an individual. He also made a cash donation to the staff of the hospital to motivate them for being steadfast and attending to patients despite the not too conducive environment.
Responding, the staff of the hospital, thanked Engr Akarachi for his donation, they enthused that they haven’t seen it like this before and prayed God to continue to bless Engr Akarachi and grant his heart desires.
