Ndi Mbieri, thank you so much for according me the opportunity to celebrate this year’s Iri Ji with you all. This ceremony signals the beginning of harvest and consumption of “the chief crop” in Mbieri.
It is a celebration of life, accomplishments in the community, culture and well-being.
Today is a special day because we come together as a people to give thanks to the Almighty God for His faithfulness, goodness, mercy and great provision to our families and Mbieri as a whole.
